Session 5: Community Day – Building EO and GIS Capacity for Research and Education

The increasing need to address climate change crisis, food security, and other climate and geographic-related issues calls for more cooperation and collaboration between the Earth Observation (EO) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with NRENs and their community. This session will cover efforts being made to bring awareness of EO and GIS to students and lecturers and how multi-disciplinary workshops and hackathons build much-needed capacity in this area.
